At Ataraxia Reiki & Sound, my mission is to create sacred space for resonance, remembrance, and restoration. I offer Sound and Usui Reiki to support the body's return to coherence, the soul's unburdening, and the nervous system's deep exhale. Through guided sessions, vibrational sound immersions, and the sacred transmission of Reiki, I invite each client into a quiet and powerful homecoming-where nothing is fixed, only remembered. Rooted in integrity, attuned to the Earth, and held in the frequency of love, my work honors healing as a return to wholeness, not a performance of perfection.
I am a mother of three, an Usui Reiki Master since 2019, and lifelong student of resonance. My Reiki path has been shaped out of that which reveals itself under the rubble of childhood sexual trauma, pregnancy loss, abuse, and divorce while returning again and again to the current of healing within me. I live in Calhoun Illinois, a ferry ride away from St. Louis, MO with my fiance and our 6 kids along the banks of the Mississippi River. Born in New Mexico of Mexican & Yaqui Indian descent, I carry the blood of earth-honoring people and the memory of both silence and strength. My work is rooted in this remembrance. Reiki is not something I do-It is who I am. It has been the current that restored my rhythm, restructured my nervous system, and called me home to my purpose. I now offer that same current to others through Reiki offerings and sound immersions. I believe healing is not a destination, but a rhythm-a return to resonance, one breath at a time.
If you're ready to clear out the noise and remember who you are beneath, I Welcome you.

Holding space for grief is sacred work. Whether you are grieving the loss of a pregnancy, a partner, a version of yourself, or something harder to name-your pain deserves reverence, tenderness, and care. In the spaces I hold, grief is not rushed, fixed, or bypassed. It is witnessed. It is honored. It is supported-through Reiki, gong, ritual, and stillness. You are not paying for your grief. You are paying for the container that supports you as you move through your grief safely.
I deeply understand. If you are in a season of financial hardship, please reach out. I offer payment plans and occasionally open sliding scale spots.
Reiki (pronounced ray-key) is a Japanese word meaning "universal life energy." It is a gentle, intuitive healing practice that helps calm the nervous system, clear energetic blockages, and guide the body back into a state of peace and self-healing. In a Reiki session, I act as a clear channel for this energy to flow through me to you-supporting your emotional, spiritual, and physical well-being. You may feel warmth, tingles, tears, quiet knowing or simply deep rest.
The gong I use is an instrument tuned to 136.1 Hz, or the OM tone...the sound of the universe in Harmony. When played with intention, its vibrations move through your body and energy field, helping to dissolve tension, unlock stuck emotions, and bring the entire system back into resonance. During a gong session, you rest in comfort on a plush sheepskin cozied lounger, as sound waves surround and move through you. Many feel it as a deep inner massage or a soul re-calibration. Sometimes emotions rise. Sometimes visions or memories come up. Sometimes there is simply peace. Sound goes where words cannot. It helps unburden the grief and trauma stored in silence.
Ho'oponopono is a Hawaiian practice of forgiveness, reconciliation, and energetic clearing. It is rooted in the belief that healing begins with taking responsibility-not in blame, but in love. At the heart of the practice is a simple four part prayer:
"I'm sorry. Please forgive me. Thank you. I love you." Spoken to the self, to another, to Spirit, or to Divinity itself, it's a way of unburdening what is no longer necessary to carry, inviting peace to take its place. In my sessions, I often weave Ho'oponopono silently or aloud-through Reiki, breath, and sound. It softens the edges of old pain and makes space for healing to enter gently. Ho'oponopono means "to make right".
